Tom founded Barnum Mechanical Inc. in 1980 and is Barnum’s CEO. He is a recognized expert in the food beverage industry for design, building and installation of sanitary process and utility support systems. Customers rely on his consulting and troubleshooting expertise when they need to improve output or solve problems at their processing plants.
Bob Talbott is BMI’s CFO who joined the team in 2012 with over 30 years of experience in construction management and accounting. Bob manages the Finance and Accounting Department and contributes to strategic planning, business development and operations. Bob has a BS in Agricultural Science from the University of California, Davis, an MBA from Santa Clara University and is a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional.
Annie Neff is the Director of Administration and has been with Barnum since 2001. She is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, and holds numerous professional designations. Annie oversees several functional areas including risk management, human resources, safety, training, communications, strategic planning and policy administration.
Andy joined the Barnum Team in 2022 as the Director of Business Development. He is an award-winning Brewmaster with over 13 years of experience in brewery design, sustainability, wastewater treatment, and process engineering. He holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and holds a Master Brewers’ certification from the U.C. Davis Master Brewers extension program.
Doug Cornwell is the manager of Automation and Controls Engineering. He is a Systems Automation Architect who joined the BMI team in 2006 with over 20 years of experience in systems automation. Doug oversees the design, development, and installation of industrial networks, PLC programs, graphical HMI applications, data acquisition systems, and electrical installation packages for process and utility systems.
Kyle is the manager of process engineering and design. He has been with Barnum since 2017 and he has special expertise in brewing, process utilities, process sustainability, and Greenfield projects. He holds a B.S in mechanical engineering from the University of the Pacific.
Prasant is a Sr. Process Engineer who joined Barnum in 2021. He has special expertise in CPG, Food & Beverage Process Design, and Process Utilities for greenfield projects. He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Durgapur.
Andrew is a process engineer who joined the Barnum team in 2021. He has significant experience in researching new technologies and alternative processes, as well as integrating new technologies into existing process systems. Andrew holds a M.S in mechanical engineering from California State University, Sacramento.
Andrew is a process engineer who joined Barnum in 2022. He has worked in the F&B industry for 10 years and he has special expertise in sanitary process systems, batching and continuous operations, thermal and fluid design. He holds a B.S in mechanical engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
Dustin is an electrical engineer for Barnum’s Automation and Controls Engineering group. He has been with Barnum since 2011. He has special expertise in designing process flow diagrams, 3D modeling and BIM. Dustin has a BA in Electrical Engineering from the California State University Sacramento.
Lloyd has almost 20 years of industry experience and has been with Barnum since 2006. He is an effective project manager who oversees projects from conception to installation and commissioning. He has expertise in system design, Greenfield projects, and specialty process systems.
Jon is Barnum’s Project Development Manager who oversees projects from conception to installation and commissioning. He has more than 40 years of industry experience and keeping jobs on schedule and within budget.
Jason has almost 30 years of industry experience and has been with Barnum since 2001. He is an effective project manager who oversees projects from conception to installation and commissioning. He has expertise in equipment design, welding, custom fabrication, and jobsite safety.
Joshua is a certified project manager (PMP) who joined Barnum in 2022. He has more than 20 years of experience in managing multi-trade construction projects and special expertise in code analysis, brewing and wastewater. Joshua has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University.
Dan is a field project manager who oversees crews installing aseptic process and utility systems at our customers’ sites. He has more than 30 years’ experience working in oil refineries, chemical, power, geothermal, and food and beverage plants. He has special expertise in welding technologies and holds welding certifications from Butte College in Northern California. He has been with Barnum since 1997.
Danny is a field project manager who oversees crews installing aseptic process and utility systems at our customers’ sites. He is an experienced millwright, welder and pipefitter. He has more than 15 years’ experience working in food and beverage plants, and he has been with Barnum since 2021.
Ernie is BMI’s manager of CAD services who joined the team in 2002. He is responsible for overseeing our in-house state of the art computer aided drafting department, designing process flow diagrams, 3D modeling, BIM and all other drawings and documents required to bring BMI’s designs to fruition. Ernie is certified in mechanical drafting by the Precision Technical Institute.
Dmitry is a process system designer who creates process flow diagrams, 3D models and BIM. He has been working in the CAD field since 1995 and he joined the Barnum team in 2021. He holds an A.A. in Design Technology and A.S. in Engineering Technology from the American River College.
Brandon is a graduate of the Butte College welding program, and he began his career with Barnum in 2014. He currently oversees Barnum’s custom fabrication shop. He has expertise in pipefitting, welding, custom fabrication, and safety.
Tom is our Purchasing Agent, and he has been with Barnum for more than 20 years. He started in equipment sales, but today we rely on him for our parts and equipment purchasing, shipping, receiving and inventory control.
Link is Barnum’s technical sales expert. He is a 30-year veteran in the sanitary process solutions industry and has working knowledge of sanitary pumps, valves, and process systems. Link joined Barnum in 2005 and brings his special expertise to our customers’ doorstep.
Maria is Barnum’s inside sales representative for sanitary parts, fittings and equipment. She joined Barnum in 2015. She has almost 20 years’ experience in the food and beverage industry and is well positioned to help you get the parts and equipment you need.
Marianne is Barnum’s project administrator. She works with Barnum’s project managers to monitor and track project deliverables. She has worked in the construction industry for more than ten years and she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in architecture.
Liz has been with Barnum since 2002. She started her career as a receptionist and was promoted through the ranks to her current role as Accounts Payable Manager and Office Manager. We rely on Liz for everything from getting the bills paid to making sure our office equipment and phone systems are in working order.
Katelyn heads up our HR department and we rely on her for overseeing employee benefits, recruiting, and training. She also helps coordinates our extensive safety program. Katelyn has a BA in Health Sciences from Sacramento State, and a Professional Human Resources (PHR) accreditation.
Mistina is Barnum’s Payroll Manager and Job Cost Accountant. She has been with Barnum since 2013 and has 20+ years construction accounting experience. She holds a Certificate of Accounting from Sierra College and is working towards her Associates degree.
